What Scorch is
Scorch sells digital collectible trading-card packs. When you buy a pack, you receive digital cards in your Scorch collection. Pack purchases include entries into promotional giveaways, governed by the Official Rules.
What you receive when you buy a pack
You receive a licence to access and display the digital cards in your Scorch account for as long as Scorch operates the service. You are not acquiring ownership of the underlying artwork or intellectual property, and access is subject to these Terms.
We say this plainly because digital goods sold with words like “buy” and “own” require a clear statement of what is actually being received. Your cards are recorded in a public, tamper-evident ledger, and we do not remove them except where these Terms allow — for example, when an order is refunded or reversed.
Cards cannot be transferred or cashed out
Scorch cards are non-transferable. You may not trade, gift, sell, or transfer them, and there is no marketplace. Scorch does not repurchase cards and does not convert them into money, credit, or anything else of value, under any circumstances.
Selling or transferring a Scorch account is prohibited and may result in the account being closed.
Eligibility
You must be 18 or older and a resident of the United States to buy packs or enter giveaways. We may require verification of your age, identity, or location.
If Scorch shuts down
If Scorch ceases operating, we will make available a cryptographically signed record of your collection, listing every card, its serial number where applicable, and the date it was issued — verifiable against our published transparency log.
To be clear about what that is: it is a durable, independently checkable record that you held those cards. It is not a transferable asset, and it does not create any claim against a company that has ceased operating.
Future changes to how cards are represented
We reserve the right to mirror or represent cards using additional technology in future, or to substitute an equivalent representation, provided that doing so does not reduce the edition size, serial number, or identity of any card you hold.
Account conduct
You may hold one account. Creating multiple accounts to obtain additional entries, cards, or bonuses is prohibited and voids the entries and cards obtained that way.
