Privacy Policy

• Account information — email address, chosen handle, and optionally a phone number.
• Eligibility information — your attestation that you are 18 or older, and your state of residence.
• Purchase records — what you bought and when. Card details are handled by our payment processor; we never see or store them.
• Entry and collection records — the cards you hold and the giveaways you entered.
• Mail-in entries — if you enter by mail, the postal address on your entry, so we can reach you if you win.
• Technical and security signals — IP address, device characteristics, and sign-in activity, used to detect fraud and prevent one person from operating many accounts.
• Prize records — for winners only, a completed IRS Form W-9 and a signed affidavit of eligibility, plus a record of what was awarded and when.

A Form W-9 contains a taxpayer identification number, which for most people is a Social Security number. We ask every winner for one before releasing any prize, whatever the prize is worth — not only winners we will file a tax return for.

We would rather collect less, so the reason is worth stating plainly. Tax may have to be withheld before a physical prize is shipped, and once it has shipped there is nothing left to withhold from. Several states require reporting at lower amounts than the federal threshold. And a tax form requested after someone already has their prize is one we rarely receive — which leaves the obligation with us and no way to meet it.

It is used only for prize tax reporting and withholding, and never for marketing. It is shared only with the tax authorities, the accountants who prepare our filings, and — if a promotion is run by an independent sweepstakes administrator — that administrator, who collects and files this paperwork on our behalf. It is held under the retention rules below.

We publish a daily record of every card issued so that anyone can verify our stated edition sizes are real. That record is anonymous. It contains card editions, serial numbers, and issue dates — never names, emails, or any identifier that can be traced back to you.

Your collection page is private by default. It becomes public only if you choose to share it, and it then shows your chosen handle — never your real name or email.

We send transactional messages — sign-in codes, receipts, and giveaway results — because they are necessary to operate your account.

Marketing email and text messages are separate, require your explicit consent, and are never a condition of buying anything. You can withdraw consent at any time by unsubscribing or replying STOP, and withdrawing it does not affect your account, cards, or entries.

You may request deletion of your personal information at any time. When you do, we remove your identifying details — name, email, phone, address — from your account.

We retain the underlying financial and entry records in anonymized form, because we are legally required to keep records of transactions and of promotional entries, and because deleting an entry after a giveaway has been drawn would invalidate a published proof that other entrants rely on. Those retained records can no longer be connected to you.

Winner tax records are the one exception we cannot anonymize on request. A tax form is a record of a payment to a named person, and the law requires us to keep it for a fixed period after the filing it supports. We keep those, and only those, for as long as that period runs.

Service providers who make the platform work — our payment processor, email and messaging providers, and hosting infrastructure — and only what each needs. We do not sell your personal information.
